Composite – A “white” or tooth colored filling composed of various glass particles cured by blue light. Extremely esthetic because of the way glass particles reflect and refract
light.
Amalgam – A traditional silver filing composed of silver, mercury, copper and tin. Log lasting but oxidizes over time.
Sedative Fillings – A temporary restoration intended to relieve pain.
Crowns – A covering of porcelain or gold placed on a tooth to replace missing tooth structure and reinforce or strengthen it. Usually indicated for broken or cracked teeth, or
teeth which filling encompasses more than ½ of the width of the tooth.
